B2B SEO & AEO Services

Search engine optimization and answer engine optimization, run as one service — built for Google, and for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

Classic SEO isn't dead — but on its own, it's no longer the whole picture. A growing share of B2B research now starts inside an AI assistant instead of a Google search box. If your content isn't structured for AI systems to read, parse, and cite, you're invisible in that channel no matter how well you rank on Google.

We don't sell SEO and AEO as two separate line items. The keyword research, the content, and most of the technical work are shared — what changes is making sure the same content is also machine-readable by AI crawlers, correctly marked up with structured data, and written in a way that's directly citable, not just skimmable. One engine, two outputs: search rankings and AI visibility.

Who This Service Is For

This service is built for B2B companies whose buyers actually research before they talk to sales — where a well-answered question or a well-ranked comparison page changes who ends up in your pipeline. It's a compounding channel, not a quick-win one.

We typically work with B2B SaaS, IT services, and fintech companies. It's a weaker fit for relationship-driven, conference-first markets like iGaming, where our Outbound and Business Development services carry most of the weight — though a supporting content layer still helps there too.

Our SEO & AEO Process

One audit, one roadmap, both tracks moving together

Audit

Keyword and competitor gaps, plus an AI-crawler audit: is your structured data actually reaching non-JS crawlers, and does robots.txt let GPTBot and PerplexityBot in.

Build & Publish

Content written to rank and to be directly quotable — clear answers up front, scannable structure, FAQ blocks that double as citable passages.

Technical & Schema

Structured data implemented server-side so it's visible without JavaScript, llms.txt kept current, and the technical SEO fundamentals underneath both tracks.

Monitor & Iterate

Rankings, organic traffic, and AI-crawler access checked on an ongoing basis, with monthly reporting on what moved and why.

Why SEO Alone Isn't Enough Anymore

Most sites optimize for one reader: the Google crawler. But AI answer engines don't browse a page the way Googlebot does — many of them fetch raw HTML without executing JavaScript, which means structured data injected client-side (a common default in modern frameworks) is often invisible to them even when it renders fine in a browser.

It's a specific, fixable technical gap, and most sites have it without knowing. We know this in detail because we found and fixed it on our own site — the JSON-LD structured data was being injected client-side and simply didn't exist in the raw HTML that AI crawlers actually fetch.

AEO closes that gap: structured data that's actually visible to non-JS crawlers, an explicit robots.txt policy for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot, an llms.txt file summarizing what you do, and content written in a format AI systems can lift a clean answer from. None of it replaces classic SEO — it runs alongside it, on the same content.

Classic SEO Agency vs VirtuWise SEO & AEO

Most SEO agencies still optimize for a single reader — the Google crawler. That's necessary, but it's no longer sufficient on its own.

FAQ

What is AEO, and how is it different from SEO?

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is the practice of making your content citable by AI systems — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude — the same way SEO makes it rankable by Google. The two overlap heavily: both need real authority, clear structure, and technical accessibility. AEO adds a few things SEO alone doesn't cover — structured data AI crawlers can actually read, clear passage-level answers, and making sure bots like GPTBot and PerplexityBot aren't accidentally blocked.

Do I need AEO if I already do SEO?

Increasingly, yes. A growing share of B2B research now starts inside an AI assistant instead of a Google search box. If your site isn't structured for AI answer engines to read and cite, you're invisible in that channel regardless of how well you rank on Google. We treat SEO and AEO as one engine because the underlying content and technical work is largely shared — you're not paying for two separate services.

Is this just classic SEO with an AI label on it?

No. Classic SEO work — keyword strategy, content, technical fixes, internal linking — is still the foundation, and we do it properly. What we add on top is specific to AI answer engines: literal structured data in the server-rendered HTML (not injected client-side, which most sites get wrong), an llms.txt file, an explicit crawler policy for GPTBot/ClaudeBot/PerplexityBot, and content written to be directly quotable, not just skimmable.

How do you measure AEO results, since there's no 'AEO ranking' like Google position #1?

There's no universal AI-citation tracker yet the way there is for Google rankings, so we report on what's actually measurable: whether your structured data validates and renders server-side, whether AI crawlers can reach your key pages, brand and product mentions in AI answers we can manually verify, and — same as SEO — qualified traffic and demo requests attributable to organic and AI-referred sessions.

Do you write the content, or just the technical strategy?

Both. We plan the keyword and topic strategy, write or edit the content itself, and handle the technical implementation — schema, internal linking, and the AI-crawler-facing bits like llms.txt. You're not handed a strategy deck and left to execute it yourself.

Can I get SEO/AEO without also buying Outbound?

Yes. Inbound is its own service and works standalone. Most clients who run both find they compound — outbound conversations reference content prospects have already seen, and inbound traffic arrives already familiar with positioning outbound built. But you don't need one to buy the other.

What industries does this work best for?

It works best where buyers actually research before they talk to sales — B2B SaaS, IT services, and fintech in particular. It's a weaker fit for relationship-driven, conference-first markets like iGaming, where Outbound and business development do most of the work — though a supporting content layer still helps there too.

How long until we see results?

Technical fixes (schema, crawler access, llms.txt) take effect as soon as they ship — often within days for AI crawlers, weeks for Google to re-crawl and reflect them. Content and keyword-driven growth is slower and compounding, typically 3–6 months before it's a meaningful pipeline source, same timeline as SEO has always run on.
